Excellent informative video Sir 👍. Three cons as far my knowledge is concerned : 1. No boot space once this is fixed , especially if it's a hatchback. 2.cng gas Filling stations when we go for long distance travel. Won't be there in rural TN or in rural areas in any state . 3. 9 kg of gas plus at least approximately 3/4 kgs weight of the gas tank , so sums up to 14 kgs , approximately. So standard load behind the car always, that hampers the power to wt ratio of the car and suspension and pick up . Just my observation. But definitely solves the running cost prob for sure . Appreciate your videos , informative as always.👍🙂

Empty cng cylinder weight is app. 60-70kgs (60ltr) It can occupy 9-10kgs of cng So total weight will be around 80kgs. It will be equalent to one person..

Good video Birla sir . You could have calculated and shown in the Video about the Break even point of the money spent for the kit. The amount spent around 60,000 rupees may scare some people for staying away from CNG. You can calculate the amount saved by using CNG instead of petrol and conclude by saying that if you invest 60,000 for buying this kit , you will start saving money by recovering the paid money on CNG kit after driving 15000kms. ( i calculated roughly by the values you have given in the video ). So after 15000 km in CNG fuel you will save your money. This info will be usefull for people who are willing to switch to CNG instead of scaring them buy saying that kit costs 60000 for a car that already costs only 6 or 7 lakhs.

Is the below true ? Believe after market CNG kits dont have below filters which need to be replaced. "Facts: CNG requires timely replacement of 2 CNG filters. The outside filter should be replaced after 20,000 km and the reducer filter should be replaced after 40,000 km."

Good sir, very well explained, i believe you are the first person to review the after market CNG kit in Chennai. I would request you to do a comparison video between Company fitted and after market CNG. Also i have seen CNG tank blast videos which actually scared me a lot. Safety is more important than cost cutting. Can you please investigate why the CNG blasts happened. Blast in the sense, no fire, the tank just blasted but the impact was very high that it ripped the car into pieces. I saw a few blast videos in foreign Countries and one Honda Jazz blast in India. A very important point you missed that, all passengers should get out of the car while filling CNG.

CNG is not required unless the car runs a minimum of 3000 kms or more per month. The more the running, the more the cost advantage. CNG drastically reduces engine life. If you plan to hold a car for more than 5 years, don't go for CNG. CNG bunks are quite limited all over Tamil Nadu. You sacrifice the boot space for the CNG. Forget going on long trips with family. Spark plugs need to be changed more often on CNG vehicles. Don't expect a surge of power while running on CNG. You have to decide whether it is worth spending nearly Rs.60,000 on CNG Kit. There is always an element of risk while running on CNG. Risk is not eliminated 100%.

Finally I found a detailed tamil review Nala explain paninga bro Im using CNG in my swift from last 3 year but different brand name BRC. People who ever having petrol cars blindly go for cng if u have no problem with bootspace. Better milage high way I get 27/ kg in city its various. And see the fuel price its off of petrol.110 petrol na 53 CNG So half price with extra milage . Without advancer pick-up will be low because of gas. So better fix advancer also to feel the same petrol experience. No worries about fire 🔥🔥. Can fix in Brands like Maruti honda voleswogan also.

That’ll be more prone to burst during an accident/impact. That’s why there’s another oval tank called Toroidal but it’s only for LPG, Not for CNG.

Important points: External CNG kit is not approved for BS6 vehicles , Car warranty will be void, Insurance claim problem in case of accident. Boot space problem . Best option is to buy company fitted CNG cars.

mine is propane LPG 14 KG or 28-liter factory made it has 4 indicator lights showing the capacity, Average of each indicator is ~60 km or more which is considered to give 17.5kmpl. on fill tank runs 260 km. also the exaust spits out water 💦. The current price is 72.39/kg which was 50 Rs compared to last year.

Very good effort to explain 👍🤩 Though it's not inflammable, it may have the risk of explosion of cylinder during expansion under hot conditions...may be or not too... don't know. Secondly, CNG filling stations is also less in numbers and not available as easily as petrol bunks.
