How long does it take to clean up all the glass and plastic off the ground/crusher after a session of crushing? Excellent video btw, nothing better than raw footage!

Adam Correia the clean up at the crusher takes about 1/2 hours. Salvador places the last three or four cars at the crusher and then shovels all the debris into the cars for the last load then crushes those cars.

Nice VID, am wondering why the Operator has to raise and lower the cars, that seems kind of a waste of time, (takes away crushing time). One suggestion, have the cars lined up before recording, that way us car crushing junkies can enjoy more crush time. Thanks,

Dennis West I had some requests for a raw video that’s why your seeing him arrange cars according to weight when he’s lifting them high, also he arranges them with the motors staggered so they can be smashed low to follow height laws 14’. Rather than skipping to the action crushing parts.

makes sense, most car crushing VIDs don't show the mechanics of what goes into this process, thanks for clarifying.

Why does there seem to not be any car crushers which completely flatten the car? Surely it's possible for them to be made powerful enough to do this?
@recycledmedia70346 жыл бұрын
RPKVids a foot is about as low as it could go if the engine is out. I think you could probably go lower if you had a different design on the crusher, but the other thing is weight on trucks you can overload legal limits with this crusher so it’s really not necessary.

@@recycledmedia7034 18:56 When he crushed that car it seemed to crush down into the car beneath it quite far! Does the operator get many cars that crush into other cars like that?

When you crush the cars with the engine in the car, does it crush the engine also?
@recycledmedia70346 жыл бұрын
3713msg Most of the cars have there engines removed but some will crush and crack the pan and the valve cover.

Interesting! I have always wondered about that. Thanks for your reply!

It probably depends on whether or not the engine could be sold as well. The vehicle may be damaged, or the engine might have a lot of problems with it, to the extent that the engine might not be saveable.

It’d be interesting to see how all the parts crush and break and bend under all that pressure! I wonder if anything would still work after the crushing?

Thanks for not talking garbage while taping like Cowboy Car Crushing does. He is annoying. I like hearing the sound of crushing metal and exploding glass.
