Car Door Handle Sensor Problems | Keyless Entry Not Working | RENAULT LAGUNA 3

Car door handle sensor problems can occur because of several different reasons. Having Keyless entry that is not working on our Renault Laguna was pretty annoying so we decided to check if we can fix it cost-effectively. Check the video to see how we fixed our car door handle sensor problem and share your ideas in the comments. So far keyless entry is still working fine on this Laguna and the door unlocks every time. Thank you. Living and learning. I disassembled out door panel, removed handle, removed sensor, disassembled a sensor, nothing damage inside sensor did not found, checked out power supply to sensor, everything was ok. I did not took attention to this small round mirror piece on handle inner side, because no one was found at all four doors. I feel like full fool when I watched your video out. Thank you.

This has just happened on my Renault Capture 2016 and thought I would need a whole new locking system. I cleaned the back of the handle and the paint on the door and it worked again. Thanks for your video.

@@ChrisBeard I use a Aluminum lid from a yogurt. 👍🏼 - For a test: Take any aluminum foil and hold it in position, then put your finger or other object between the sensor and the foil and then the "keyless" has to open. Otherwise the sensor may be defect.

Hi, I am having currently a similar issue....When I insert my hand on the handle (driver side) the unlocking system is activated (I can hear it). However all the doors get unlocked except the driver door. The locking on all the doors occurs nevertheless when I activate the locking system. Any clues for this (sorry if this is not the right place to put this questions...)?

Brilliant , one problem down and on to the next. Radio works fine when turned on before Ignition started and then stays on but if I try turning the radio on after ignition started it plays for about 2 seconds and then cuts off while everything is saying on the dash it’s on 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Renault Megane 2015 does not unlock without a card. It works with the card, but not the handsfree. Starting with a card in your pocket works. New battery in both cards. What could it be? Please help.

One of things that may cause this is a dirty plastic piece which is covering the sensor. It can be scratched or dirty from the outside or dirty from the inside. You can check that first. If everything is ok then maybe the sensor is faulty. We are hoping you will solve it. Good luck.

Just asking.. wouldn't be better to polish the original reflective metal from the hande, instead of sticking aluminium on it? Outdoor it's raining, sun, wind, big temperature variations, how long fo you think the aluminium foil gonna stay there?

The metal piece should reflect the signal to the sensor, and if it's not reflecting anymore for some reason (scratched, dirty or missing) we need to insert something other that will do the reflecting. That's why covering it with alu foil for example works. Hope this helps.
