I have driven diesel cars for 40,000 plus km in BS6 DPF. There is no need to worry about it, in case the light comes, we can regenerate at home easily and recent cars have nearly zero issues with it. It is not worth to take it as a problem and considering turbo petrol mileage and the fuel cost you can save 30-40 % easily. I can say that diesels are the best right now and people can go for it with no doubts

If you travel short distances frequently, do not buy a diesel. Diesels are made for long distance/ constant driving such as commercial vehicles, taxis, etc.

If you drive short distance frequently, don't buy a diesel car. Diesels are made for frequent long-distance travelling. For example, people in Germany use it on the Auto Bahn. They travel at least 80km a day minimum. I currently own a Diesel VW Passat. I drive 110km a day (to and from work). Driving long distance allows the engine to reach maximum temperature, which activates the natural burn cycle. The burn cycle is when fuel is sent to the DPF to burn the particles. It can only be done when the car hits max operating temp. However, frequent short distance travels will clog the DPF and it will force the car onto limp mode. You can remove the DPF and make a cut to expose the clogged filter and clean it, . It will require a commercial pressure washer. Once cleaned, you will need to weld the DPF to cover the filter and then fit into your car. You will also need to replace your DPF sensor. Or the cheapest option is DPF delete. However, this may be illegal in some countries.

My Indigo manza has run for 85,000 Km, when I run the car at 125 Km with 4 people ,the engine fowls and the speed drops suddenly ,then after halting for 10 minutes and then start and run at 100 Km there is no fouling problem, could this be due to the Exhaust block

check your fuel system once, if exhaust is blocked then it won't even start or run, might be Fuel is not sufficient enough.

Clean only if necessary, ford doesn't had ECR so no Urea or DEF is passed in the DPF, this will get cleaned once engine driven with full stress for 20 to 30 minutes on highway

Na BS6 diesel vachiruken, ithu varaikum 50000 otiten, DPF 3 times alert vanthuruku, but no issues so far, 20minutes highway la full pedal la otalam or open space la card bonnet open panitu, Ac full low la vachitu highbeam on panitu self regeneration panalm(it takes 15 to 27 minutes)
