EDIT: So I originally put this up years ago to show to some family & friends, but since it has so many views I'll add some backstory as for what happened before the video starts.
I was leaving for class (in college at the time) and my mom was returning from the gym, as we met in the driveway she pointed out that the neighbors car was smoking. This was around 10 am so it occured when most people were at work. At the time it was white smoke, resembling steam from a distance so we assumed the radiator on the car had gone (it's an old Mercury minivan so it seemed reasonable).
After watching for a minute I noticed flames coming from the undercarriage and the smoke growing darker and went into action. Our hose would not reach that far and the houses in our neighborhood have the hose hookup in the garage, so we could not use our closer neighbors (who were not home). So I ran inside to get the kitchen extinguisher.
When I came out, 2 of our neighbors, who are volunteer firefighters, had arrived. They told us the department was on the way and not to try to fight the fire, for our own saftey, since the car was far enough away from the house not to pose a house fire risk and it was already "totalled" anyway.
About 30s after all this is when the video starts.
I'm stand back and behind my car to try to avoid being on the receiving end of a "final destination" style piece of shrapnel when the wheels and airbags explode. Fortunately nothing was flung.
