Not sure if you've discovered it yet, but the custom gearbox allows you to tune the car. Select it from the overall car's pie menu and you can add/remove gears with it.

@Bay Area Buggs, two quick tips. First off, you can use at least an XBox 360 controller in the game, and second you can go into the settings off the main menu and change the units to miles per hour. Should make your testing easier to quantify and easier to understand.

btw...I have the car next to the Lotus Elise in the junkyard...its a BMW 3.0 CS. I bought it for my dad and it us still sitting in an LA garage since he paased on. Im a disabled senior now myself so it may never get restored. would love to see you go back and buy that car and restore it. it was my dads dream car and the look on his face when I took him to buy it was priceless!...

I sell these cars. It comes from the factory with 650 horsepower and torque. Also comes standard with a 7 speed manual transmission with the option for 8 speed automatic. Not sure why its different in this.

To all the people complaining about Buggs' different content . Buggs has admitted in other videos that he's getting a little tired of DOJ, stating that he is taking a little break here and there. It's not all about what content gets the most views it's about what content he enjoys playing otherwise, it would feel more like a choir to grind for content rather than enjoying the content he crates. Consequently making him lose the original passion which started up his channel in the first place.

Just throwing it out there, the ZR1 is faster than the Z06. The Z06 (stock, non race) makes 650 hp while the ZR1 (stock, non race) make 755 hp.

Myths: needing a Z06. Any vanilla Vette will take North of 150 mph. Bet you crap your pants long before going that fast! I can't handle 135+...when the front end gets light I back off. Bit car mods are sold by folks trying to commercialize specialty niches, like putting magnesium wheels to lessen unsprung weight on a truck; or putting an air wing on a commute sedan to keep rear traction to the rear wheels...when the speed limit is 65 mph AND MOST folk not only don't know what this when they bought it, but they drive mostly in commute level traffic and have a FWD or a Hybrid or a little 4 banger motor! But they LOOK "cool" so... A good used Vette will cost you $10k to $15k. Get an auto trans as you can't shift any better than the electronic six speed does. You enjoy the Vette for its balance and responsiveness, not by being a brute. It can be driven daily bit the first time you spend $3,000 on mounting new Goodyear VR rated GT tires to new brake pads, and balancing and wheel alignment you fast learn racing is either for the rich or the stupid. Be neither! A vette's biggest asset is you look good IN it. It is equal to a 911 or 308 (the Magum P.I. car). The bargain brand is to get a Porsche Boxter for under $8k. Perfect balance for a road car, and it is a convertible your lady will fight you for the right to drive. But do your homework on the repair quirks... I got out of my money pit Range Rover LR4 and am looking for a good Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Hoovies Garage had one for $7k but I invested in some land instead of toys. But by winter I may be in the market. I am after the turbo BC my range had a supercharger and I like the power. Don't need it but 300+ HP makes me feel good! I've learned tho that you don't need much more than that to have a funky good time. Lots more is often a waste: even if you can handle it the amount of time when you do is very little, and some rice racer will never believe you. That's why Bob Meran talked me out of a supercharger set up and suspension, exhaust, and extreme brake mods on my 750iL. Cost vs bragging rights are very fleeting. Dodge makes an 800 HP Demon and so Ford has a (wink wink) 1000 HP Roush GT...it will never end and guys that never even sit in these beasts yak like they know all about them. Look at the buyer to crash rates of the idiots that do. They things as really Street legal race track machines. The Demon is a quarter mile car. The Ford Mustang 350r is for track running, nothing more. Rarely do you get to take them out to test their limits. I have real pro drivers who take me out sitting as a passenger to show me mine. Humbling! Any of my rides will do 100mph before you FEEL the speed...they are that capable. But out on a road with other drivers and potholes and road kill wannabe animals etc, not cool! So no you don't need a Z06 unless you just want to one up everyone else..until a kid in a tricked out nitrous Honda comes along and blows your doors off! The modded Vette ride is HARSH. Bone and teeth rattling. Not a pleasant ride at all: whereas the vanilla version is refined but very nimble and quick. It is bought mostly by successful middle aged guys and retirees...embrace that and OWN it. Stay chasing is simply doing too much. Fake news bs run by car mfg cos, media and a faked out public. Go to some real local hot rod and custom car shows to see where this hot rod culture came from. Few play the video game to go thru what it takes to arrive at that hallowed status, so we buy into the fast food convenience store mentality without putting in all the hard work, long hours, passion, patience, trial and error, expense, skinned buckles and elbow grease. Like buying a pair of expensive Air Jordan's to front like you a "baller," but it's all show and no go. I hang with cats and their families that live restoring and building cool vehicles, it ain't what the masses think. Most do it as a hobby to test their artistry and skill. Others are racers but know you can't do that all the time without sponsors. Most don't know or appreciate what they go thru orcwhy. They just want their Toyota Camry to make it up the freeway onramp so they can get stuck in bumper to bumper traffic! Smh. Don't buy that koolaid, man. IJS.

Hey I've been watching your car mechanic sim, games lately and I'm not into them as much as when you started cuz you cut too much out, like building the car which I can understand cuz it's Time consuming, but cutting out building the motor kinda make me not want to watch cuz as a car guy I really enjoyed seeing you building the motor in previous episodes, it's your decision to bring that part back to your videos but I'd really like to see you bring that back to your videos
