I knew of a repair shop that ran a good business. He took over the business from his father in the forties. The owner as well as his father were decent and went out of way way to help customers. For instance, one of his customers car wouldn't start about 5 miles from his shop so he called the owner and he came and hooked up the car to his car and brought it to the station to avoid a tow charge. This guy at the local shop I've been going to for years recently tried to tell me all 4 of my tires needed replacing 🙄 and my tires aren't even that old. Going on about the tread wearing down so much that it's "not safe to drive" and keep hounding me to keep it there to change. The two estimates he gave me were 600 and 700 respectively. I left him with his own bs and peaced out, not coming back there again. He even had the audacity to try to call me several times after and I politely told him I'm not interested and declined.
