He looks like he was forced to go to a reformed church in the morning and didn’t have time to change. He’s adorable. Love his voice!

They make the guitars on Hippie Powers sounds so Built To Spill. I actually love it!
@mramerecka6 жыл бұрын
Right! I don't know if you can be a modern indie rock band without ripping off Built to Spill at least a little bit sometimes. Those guys are the best.
@Idziemel15 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah, my thoughts exactly! Especially the beginning of the studio version - its soudns like Built to Spill for a while and then transforms into Modest Mouse, when the choppy bits begin.
@71hammyman3 жыл бұрын
Who are built to spill? Being from the UK I'd like to know. I know I could look them up, but I'd like to get a decent referral

New to Built to Spill? Amazing indie rock band who were esp big in the 90s. Check out “Carry the Zero” or “Car”. If you want an album, listen to “Keep It Like A Secret”

in the middle of “hippie powers” i got a yousician ad with james hetfield asking if i wanted to play like metallica. it felt like when i was a kid playing video games where my character is a twink or a girl and my grandpa saying “wanna play football?”

@tony109803 жыл бұрын
I feel you, but I like the different sound and the fact you can hear the guitar so vividly. Some of those note changes were fantastic which I haven't heard in the original. Give a different life to the song imo. Not a bad thing to try a new way to perform your songs. That's what live shows are all about imo, a unique experience you can't hear over the radio or online. There is still beauty in imperfection.
