The judges frequently group things that are similar in the context of the question into one category, but this was definitely the most wildly illogical and just plain stupid grouping, ever. I would expect 'basketball' and 'water polo ball to be in one category, but there are no hoops in any way associated with most other ball games and it makes no more sense to allow 'baseball' or 'soccerball' for that answer than it would to allow 'highball'. I suspect there were so many people in that group of 100 that were too lazy or stupid to write out basketball that the decision-makers felt compelled to go this way. They should just automatically throw that question out until they figure out a better way to phrase it in a later survey. They do recycle questions that have been used before in later shows.

I was thinking hard on the hoop question but then I came to realise that the number one answer was 'ball' so any thing to do with ball comes under it, baseball, basketball, soccer, etc.. The most illogical question was the woman question, 'name something a woman picks up?' she can pick up any thing! a stone, a baby, a baseball bat, a hat...etc!

You should put that question on a survey of people who have enough sense to specify which kind of ball or come up with other answers like 'circus lions', 'variety show dogs', 'Hoola hoop dancers', or 'beer barrel staves'. The question was "Name something that GOES through a hoop", not "COULD go through a hoop". Baseballs do not go through hoops. They can, but they don't normally.
