Not bad enough to hit them once, but then hit the gas and hit even harder a second time. Then just sit there like an idiot instead of pulling through.

This is why you put your car in neutral. Also some fault lies with the loader in not watching the car on the conveyor.

You can see the last car's brakelights flash on two different times. They're at fault...

Yeah the operator should have been at the ready to hit the stop button and watching for the actions of the driver as they finished pulling them onto the conveyor track past the pusher door to see what gear they shifted to then clearly call for them to stop while making clear motions to gain the drivers attention when the car started to accelerate beyond what the pusher could propel the vehicle. Really fundamental thing for a operator at a car wash and very important for not only the property of there own and the property at risk of damage, but mostly for the people that could be vulnerable even if it doesnt seem to be a large hit, its still harmful if the wrong persons hit and the operator themself. Always check the indicator for the gear ask your processing the vehicle and check tail lights if it gets to the point where you can see them as long as its not already showing signs of being under its own power. I bet this is a customer that likes to hold onto the steering wheel as well.

@@iNSOMNISTREAM I just watch the back tire as the rollers push the car thru. If that tire leaves the rollers they are in drive. Except if it's a Honda civic. Those cars are so light that the rollers send the car way ahead.

@@Mike_Seymour i agree. They get worrisome sometimes. I always let 3 pushers up in the back of vehicle in front of them if i knew one was coming. Some bmw's to but i think its different reasons on those. Mini's like to lose antennas along with alot of other kinds of antenna. Though i always hated having the power ones show up because half the time they turn there radio on after passing front rinsing arch. Then try claiming it as the washes responsibility though thats only if the antenna is extended prior

@@iNSOMNISTREAM Ha ha I do that too. When I'm running a near empty tunnel I send several roller sequences behind my last car to hopefully slow down any random crack head that takes off in my wash. It's true that the freaks come out at night! I have several good and sometimes terrifying stories I could tell.
