Your brewing videos seem more like a hallmark commercial now instead of a brew day with Dr. Hans.

A great video, and I lvoe the color of that beer. I make a similar beer, an "Irish Red Ale" that I ferment with a lager yeast and I use a combination of Weyermann CaraAmber 9%, CaraRed 9%, and just a touch of chocolate (for color) .6%. It's very caramely and such a beautiful beer. I have to brew it again... very soon, it's one of my favorites.

@@DrHansBrewery In the video, you did not explain what you are doing and why you are doing it. If I was a person who didn't know the most basics about how how beer is made at home, your video would leve them with more questions than they had when they clicked on your link. To know why you skim your musk would have kept me more intrested in the video.

Thanks! Nice video! Looking at your setup - can you give hints on what you use for oxygenating your beer and where I can buy it? Been using an aquarium pump but would like to move to pure oxygen and trying to find tips on where to get it here (I also live in Sweden). Thanks again for an awesome channel!

Who told you to dump malt into a liquid that is close to Pasteurization temperature and soak the malt at a temperature that is high enough to denature the enzymes that produce ale and lager? You were taught to make moonshiners beer and you instruct people to make beer the same way. Moonshiners beer is made by soaking high modified, malt in hot water at one temperature for an hour. It takes only one step and one temperature for simple sugar, glucose to form, which makes alcohol and that is all that a moonshiner is concerned with. Moonshiners skip the steps that form the types of sugar that produce ale and lager, and use only the step that releases glucose from starch. The brewing method that you recommend produces the lowest quality, extract that can be drawn from malt. Moonshiner don't drink moonshiners beer, they distill it. Malt liquor takes more work to produce and is higher quality beer than single infusion, moonshiners beer. Have you ever heard about P.T. Barnum, the circus guy? He advertised there was a three headed goat boy, the snake man, etc., in a tent and people purchased tickets to see them. When P.T. was called in on false advertising charges, all he said, "there's a sucker born every minute." Home brewers are honest and trusting people and an honest and trusting person would never tell a person how to make something they are going to put in their belly, unless it is the real thing. They consider you to be the same, an honest and trusting person. That is why people believe that you are telling them the truth on how to make ale and lager. The only time the beer that you instruct people to make will be ale and lager will happen when the malt that you recommend contains magical properties or a magic wand is included with your instructions and kits. And you ask people to donate money, for what?

You again, always ranting about something you’ve read in a 50 year old book on brewing. Other than for a specific purpose, there is not usually a need to perform a step mash with modern malts. Most commercial breweries don’t, are you saying all their beer is ‘moonshine beer’ as well?
