Cara Blanca Beach - Cape Three Forks - Nador - Morocco
GPS coordinates: 35.346321, -2.964060
There is not much information about access to this beach. Again, it is by performing a search on google maps that I found its location.
Looking at the nearby terrain on the map, I could see that there seemed to be a trail behind a building that led to this beach. I told myself that when we arrived at this place, I would be able to find this trail.
On the map, I could see that it was a secondary road that led to this place and I thought the terrain was flat. I was totally wrong.
I have to tell you that to get to this place, we have to take a very small broken street in several places. It has a steep drop and it winds endlessly from left to right in very pronounced curves.
Obviously, we wonder if we have taken the right road. But we still go our way. It will take us somewhere ...
This path has finally led us to the right place. I recognized the building I had located on the map.
There was a group of young men sitting under a tree waiting for a taxi. We asked them if we could leave our vehicle nearby. They told us there was no problem.
We took the path that passes next to the white building that you will see at the beginning of the video and as this path became more or less well traced afterwards, we headed to the right, towards an overhanging plateau. the sea.
A car is parked there. There must be access to the beach. It must be said that we are still at a relatively high altitude compared to the sea. The cliffs are high in this region!
It is down to this plateau that we spot the beach to our left. It's of all beauty! In fact, Cara Blanca is not a beach as we imagine it.
Cara Blanca is a Spanish name meaning "white skin". In fact, at this point, the rocks have become white due to the effect of erosion. The site is quite spectacular.
The sun also illuminates this place as well as the turquoise water which is of a limpidité une pareil.
We had to sneak through rough terrain to reach the rocks that form different levels.
As I am not very big, Alain had to help me to go down or climb some landings. However, it is easily achievable.
The site is attended by several young men who come to enjoy the sun and the sea. They will certainly spend more than one day because several tents are installed in the mountains.
I think we aroused the curiosity of some of them because they came to us to talk to us. They were really super sociable.
They asked me to take photos in front of one of the main attractions of this site: the copa del mundo, a rock formation that has the shape of a cup. I obviously accepted with pleasure.
In fact, these rock formations are called fairy chimneys (hoodoos). What surprises us the most by seeing them is that a large rock, more resistant to erosion, is present at the top of them.
For the return, we took a path in the cliff overlooking the white rocks. I would say that the course is quite sporty because the cliff has a fairly high altitude and the trail is slippery because we walk in a pile of small rocks.
I speak from experience because it is here that I inherited an umpteenth scar!
It is a natural site of great beauty. He deserves everyone to take care of it. Alas, we find a considerable pile of waste in a sector of the cliff.
