@@terratv3020 Yeah, the male lead is so fundamentally unlikeable... It's a fortuitous turn of events that every male antagonist in the film is even MORE unlikeable than Valerian. It strains credulity to believe that he could reach the rank of O-4 in the military. If officers carry on like him and *don't* get court-martialled, that behaviour becomes acceptable, then becomes widespread and before long, the military is no longer a professional corps, but is instead a Thug Club or Mercenary Gang. The actors all did fine jobs in animating their personas, it's just such a shame that the writers gave them such poor material to work with. Nevertheless, I rather enjoy this film. I re-watch it every few months and each time, Cara is so very refreshing to see. Just seeing her is enough to make me happy. I wonder if she herself has that ability; Is she able to make everyone in a room happy, just by entering the room?

I honestly don't get the hate for the song and Cara in general. I find the music video lots of fun and allows her personality to shine through every shot. You can see her quirkiness, you can see she doesn't take herself to seriously and likes to have fun. Yet all the haters telling her to go back to modelling and not expand her career, really? The days where people were actually supportive of each other and not always determined to bring others down seem long gone now... I get it if you dont enjoy it, fine, that's your opinion, but please dont constantly shit on her for trying new things.

Jarrod Purvis because she's a model. It falls in the stereotype of a model turned actress/singer. But what people fail to see is that most models are discovered and had other interest and talents before becoming models. And cara happened to have artistic talents, now that being said she does have a good voice and it's an okay actress.
