CBS tried to put Cara Williams over in the '60s almost as hard as they tried to sabotage Judy. Williams wasn't untalented, but she lacked that special "star" magic.

I think the audience cutaways are from "The Great Zigfeld." I saw both "Pete & Gladys" and "The CW Show," which I think was produced by Keefe Braselle's company, and Keefe is a story in itself. Is this from one of those early 60s cornball variety shows... maybe Keefe's short-lived one?
