Please, make the duet in this form: [Calypso] (soft voice) Cruel and cold like the winds on the sea, will you ever return to me? Hear my voice, sing with the tide, my love will never die. [Davy Jones] (starting soft, second increasing strong, but ending soft) Over waves and deep in the blue, I will give up my heart for you. Ten long years I'll wait to go by, my love will never die. [Calypso] (strong and seductive, second stronger) Come my love be one with the sea, rule with me for eternity. Drown all dreams so mercilessly, and leave their souls to me. [Davy Jones] (first and second strong, third stronger, fourth strong) Play the song you sang long ago, and wherever the storm may blow. You will find the key to my heart, we'll never be apart. Wild and strong you can't be contained, never bound nor ever chained. Wounds you caused will never mend, [Calypso] (only Calypso, strong) and you will never end. [Calypso and Davy Jones] (soft and sad, Davy must sound clear) Cruel and cold like winds on the sea, will you ever return to me. Hear my voice, sing with the tide, our love will never die.

This song is so tragic because it really show why Jones was so cruel in the movies. He was just a man who fell in love with the goddess of the ocean, and because of his love of her he became the ferryman of the dead because a mortal couldn't be with a goddess. By performing his duty he was allowed to be with her but only for 1 day every 10 years. To any normal human this would be unbearable but Calypso was immortal and now Jones was too, to her 10 years was nothing but a blip. Jones on the other hand was still thinking like a man and not an immortal so when she wasn't there he couldn't take it and cut out his heart. By removing his heart he could no longer feel any emotion, no love, happiness, joy, sorrow, or anger, he got rid of what made him human and embraced becoming part of the ocean, becoming the monster that the sailors tales said he was. He became as cold and unforgiving as the sea itself. Calypso hurt him and he tore out his heart, but he never gave up hope completely so the only way to kill him was to truly and permanently "break" his heart.

This truly is a masterpiece. To me, it gives so much emotional understanding between Calypso and Davy Jones. About his curse and their desires. I'm sad for Davy Jones. I think he is not hates from Jack. But he is sad because of his love and he can't be good after these situations. I love Jones✌♥🙏
@megaman374564 жыл бұрын
Jones never hated Jack, in fact the only people he was ever truly angry at were himself and Calypso, he hated himself for trusting her and devoting everything he had to be in a relationship with her, and he's pissed with Calypso because she didn't even have the decency to uphold her end of the deal, to meet him once every 10 years. Understandably this caused him to fly into a rage not unlike that of Darth Vader, hating his own circumstances due to his own poor judgement and feeling betrayed by the one he trusted the most. Jones has every right to be as angry and outright villainous as he is in the films as he has been around for 4 Bretheren Courts life times, that's roughly 300 to 400 years of pent up hate. When he finally confronts Calypso about why she didn't meet him, and she acted as if it wasn't a big deal, that was his breaking point, he no longer cared for anyone or anything and was ready to wipe out the rest of the pirates if need be. However once Calypso found out Jones was the one who showed the first court how to bind her to human form, when Jones died and fell into the maelstrom, as punishment by Calypso, he was sent to the locker. But we all know you can escape the locker if you're crafty enough, and I do recall shipwrecks from Barbosa's crew still remaining there. My theory is Jones found a dingy in-tact enough to ride to the seas, and when the time was right, he'd return to the world of the living, as we saw in the post-credits scene of Pirates 5, Jones clearly holds a grudge against Will for some odd reason when Jack was the one who killed him. But with the whole Johnny Depp situation I doubt we'll ever see a proper conclusion to this. The only real way I see this movie happening is if Depp wins both the Virgina trial and his UK appeal but well to quote Barbosa "Aye, but that's a gamble of long odds."

@@Myriani Thank you. Your cover soothes this broken soul. I have a confession to make. When I used to be a romantic, before I got rejected and gave up, I didn't try to flirt, I courted. Read a 1920s 101 book. I've been using that method since I was 6-years-old. Sure those four other girls rejected me and went for sexual men, but why should I change my approach? I made the choice to remain single because every girl I tried to ask out would reject my courting. I gave them flowers, jewelry, chocolates, letters, asked them out to dinner, invited them to picnics, etc. They all rejected me for sexual men, which I am not. So I gave up.That was between the ages of 7 and 14, so I was already searching for a romantic partner when other kids were just playing with blocks and stuff. When the four rejections were concluded, I couldn't take it anymore and gave up. All that effort down the drain only for them to turn for some sweaty sexual jock! To try and soothe my anger, I turned to metal.
