It's very normal in the brown culture yet we grew to love our parents and in the first story the kids sounds like a potential psychopath or serial killer. He literally tried to stab his sister and you have a problem with his mother beating him? Wtf. You're probably still a kid so i won't go harsh at you rn. The mentality of this generation isn't gonna get them far in life

I feel bad for the children , for the little sister of course but also for the older son. We dont know his life, he might have had a disorder of some sort but you should never beat your own kid EVER. No matter what .
