I love it. The smallest, much lighter car is equal to the SS in 0-80 mph which is all I really care about. The challenger/camaro have FAT dash and center consoles. The chally r/t with its 370hp up from 2008's 350, is a 4080 lb boat. Stang is 500lbs lighter. Cam is 360 lbs more. Stang gets better mpg's too. And ANYONE considering for a minute that this is new 5.0 needs to check mirror, it's not. New 420hp 5.0 does 0-60 4.4 sec,

I own a 2010 Challenger R/T and as much as I hate to hear it the guys right. Compared to these two cars it really isn’t a game player. I truly do feel like the srt-8 is a much better comparison though. The R/T is a V8 yes but it is the smallest V8 Chrysler offered in the car. The thing is the RT is actually an awesome comparison with some of the V6 cars from the other brands due to its weight.

It’s 2024 and these cars despite their age if they’re well looked after and have relatively low mileage which most do where I am located because of winter are still fun , great budget options with enough power and the beautiful N/A V8 sound to enjoy the hell out of all summer. Most definitely on the endangered species list especially the analog less complicated ones , the older even more reliable and easy to work on bad boys. Looking forward to snagging one, fell short this summer but as soon as spot the right one it’s going in my storage unit. Just can’t beat that V8 power & sound!

On the Camaro if you launch it just right you can easily get it under 4.4 sec from 0-60. I have the Camaro. the handling is amazing, especially for a heavy car. Obviously it has it's limits but it's a fun car to take on windy roads.

ok its great and all the mustang won, i am a ford guy so i am happy to see the outcome but the were comparing the bigger v8 production camaro known as the SS vs just the R/T challnger and GT mustang. the proper comparison would have to be(if they still used the SS) Shelby GT500 vs SRT8 Challenger and of course the always pathetic overpriced SS camaro(at least for the options you get)

Born and raised a Ford man. Trucks, tractors, and even our lawn mowers are Ford. However, the Mustang was just never a sports car for me. You can take a look to see my Trans Am, slightly modified to 532 under the hood, and only 8500 miles to date. Recently, getting the fever to build up another sports toy, yet flustered on a decision. It was a brand new 2010 chevy and guess what happend the axle fell of the truck. Im not kidding he drove up the road and then he rolled back down the hill. And there was his rear axle just laying there it wasnt messed up or anythin it was just laying there. And a 1989 f150 came and yowed the so called better chevy away. All of the Camaros and Challengers I've seen have been the SS, R/ts and SRT8s. Obviously, These are the real muscle cars. The Mustang is a nice, ugly looking family car. What I really want to see is if they make a 2011 Cobra, and not the Shelby. Just a regular SVT Cobra. If they made a 480ish hp SVT weighting 3500, it would destroy everything in it's category.

@TheSpeedDemon5 It's the worst possible visibility in the world, I'm 6'2" and my head is probably an inch away from the roof, the rear view mirror blocks almost all your passenger side view. The rear wind shield is about the size of a school lunch tray and you almost can't see a thing.
