Great looking van congratulations. We looked at Zone and was very impressed however we went with Kedron. The Kedron does have disk brakes and ESC fitted together. Looking forward to seeing where you take the Zone and how well it handles.

Congrats on the new van guys. Looks awesome. A word of warning though, don’t rush out and give your levelling ramps away. They come in very handy to use on the car for those occasions you stay connected and want a little extra height on the car.

Wow, you've joined two of my favourite KZbin travellers now have zones, I now have 3 favourite travellers in zones. So great to see and it's really exciting. If you're ever in central Queensland again we'll be starting a hipcamp camp on our cattle property soon, just in the process of getting some sites pegged out. Oh and no, we had no diesel heater or diesel on board before as our car and chainsaw are petrol. The diesel heater is a new thing for us going forward

Calling that an outdoor kitchen is a bit of a stretch, it’s a cupboard Has no sink, no real cooking facility (you can put an induction element anywhere) It’d make a great bar 😉 Look forward to seeing how it works out

Don’t reckon you’d be putting too much in that tool box, jerry can full of fuel, diesel tank full, gas bottles, wood on top and staying within your ball weight limit

When they design the Zone vans, they overcompensate weight into the back of the van which allows you to add additional kilos to put into your toolbox and front. Gone are the days of an overweight front end at handover before you even load weight onto it! The engineering behind this van is next level! You’ll be surprised just how much we can put in there 😉👏🏻

Welcome.to the Zone life. Aren't they just the best. The dust protection is more along the lines of a triple seal. We love our base. I hope you touch on the technology of the composite 4 panel build that other vans claim. I think that's what sold us on our Zone. No timber or ply of any sort. We love that it is more apartment looking rather than caravan looking inside also. We do love your outdoor management system, how cool is that! Love the bloopers. Hey Derek, thanks so much for the support! Re-the awning we’ve gone with a manual as it can be tied down. Electric awnings can’t be tied. We end up in some pretty crazy places and that’s something which was important to us plus we are familiar with the manual awning and it’s one less electrical item that can go wrong on the external of the van

Can I ask did you look at Vacationer and Kedron and if so why did you go Zone as I am looking to upgrade to an off-road van and am down to these 3 manufacturers. Look forward to your new travels 👍

We didn’t look at the vacationer but considered Kedron for a short while however they aren’t very modern and have weights suitable for a small truck when it comes to towing, way too heavy for us 😅

Hi guys this has come up a few times in other posts, not this group I don't think. However it's illegal to use a bbq on the gas bayonet without a flame out unit. All BBQs have to have a gas arester fitted if run from the bayonet fittings on a van Just saying🙂 I just bought a new baby Q and then found out the new regulations. So now I will run the BBQ on a bottle until Weber get this sorted with the compliance. Your Ziggy original doesnt have this feature. Unfortunately, not. Flame Failure Technology is only available on the Ziggy Portable Nomad Series. The flame failure model has a number of different parts to the standard model including the valve, burner, cooking grill, sensor probe and heatshields. Gas valve changes can only be done by an authorised person.

We’re aware and chose to use the Ziggy anyway, we have a nomad coming so it’s only temporary now 😊
