Thank you for your honest review! I was quite skeptical about these pans. Someone raved to me about these 'non toxic ceramic coated pans' and after much research I can safely say: Its not for people who cook frequently and need to do a wide range of different techniques, stirfry, frying, braising, steaming etc. they just don't last well. I think these pretty pans are for people who do really little and light style cooking, basically I call them "show"ware, its like furniture really. Its more of a pursue of an lifestyle aesthetic choice over food quality. But for people who cook frequently, who need constant high heat, durability, flexibility, ease of handling/abuse/washing, its really not the most ideal set of pans over other tried and tested materials.

Thank you for your video and the time you put in to it. Try using a baking soda and vinegar paste and leave it on the trouble areas for 30 minutes be for cleaning. Those trouble spot will come off!

I wonder couple of things. I believe it totally makes a difference how you use them. My partner and I are opposite when it comes to using pots and pans. I never put my unstick pans in the dishwasher, never use metal, always use low to medium heat and don’t put them in the oven, also I don’t agree with baking soda because I believe it damages the nonstick surface. My partner does all the things that I don’t and when we first moved in together his Cephalon pans were trashed. I had Kirkland non-stick pans in the past and used the complete set over ten years with no issues.

You could just use stainless steel and put them in the dishwasher, use metal, use high heat and put them in the oven, and use baking soda along with Barkeeper's Friend, and it won't hurt them. Considering all of the things these expensive pans can't do, I can't imagine what the upside of paying a high price for these are. If you need a non-stick skillet, just buy a single cheap disposable one for eggs. And no one needs a non-stick pot.

Thank you for the review. 6 months is a short time frame for a cookware set to stop being like new..

Can’t go wrong with cast iron or carbon steel for skillets!

I wish I could attach pictures of my caraway set after 2 years of use. They look horrible and I’m almost afraid to use them. I never use metal utensils while cooking with them, but there are somehow little dings at the bottom of each pan. The outside looks even worse, as the color “paint” is literally peeling off. Huge regret and I’ll never buy from that brand again.

I’ve had the exact same set/color for three months and they still look brand new. I absolutely love mine and would buy them again. Sorry yours haven’t held up well.

Has it been six months for you yet? If so, can you give us an update and do you cook much?

@@gingerreeds216 Family of four, had them a year. Other than a small surface Knick on one they still look nearly brand new! I love them! I take very good care of mine though. I don’t leave them dirty or lying in the sink with other dishes, etc. And they never go in the dishwasher, not sure if that makes a difference. My experience has been the exact opposite of this posters. *edit* I use most of them daily.

We bought a frying pan and were going to see how it did. If it performed we were going to get a set. Got 6 months out of the pan and everything stuck. It was worthless. Filed a warranty claim, they sent me a new pan and I expect I’ll get 6 months out of this one before it’s useless. Would not recommend these pans, they do not last.
@dbkfrogkaty12 ай бұрын
For skillets I would recommend carbon steel pans or cast iron. Both require some effort to keep up. But once you get them well seasoned they will last a lifetime. The reality with "non-stick" is none of them will last. They will always fail at some point. Cast iron pans are very inexpensive and they are heavy. But they last. Carbon steel pans are lighter than cast iron. As far as your pots and saucepans I recommend cladded stainless steel. They can be costly but they last. I have All-Clad brand. I had a set for 25 years and they're still good to go. There are other brand out there now that are not as expensive. Shop around.

Just use a magic eraser on the inside to bring back the non stick clean finish. It’s not something you want to use everytime you clean, but it works on ceramic non stick . I’ve also found a scrub daddy works work when you wash to keep away the build up

I love my set. Had them for over a year. I definitely had to change how i cook. I cook on med to low heat because the pans heat evenly and cook evenly. I also hand wash them with little dish detergent after they have cooled, and they still look brand new. I use the frying pan and saute oan daily. Holiday time is when the big boys get pulled out. Its unfortunate you have this experience but i love mine.

I’ve had my caraway for years. Best cookware set I’ve owned. One suggestion. Do not use cooking sprays like Pam. They have soy lecithin which will just gum up when heated and it’s impossible to remove. For regular stains on the interior cooking surface, hot water and a magic eraser really helps.
@valeriathompson72192 ай бұрын
Are you using spray oils? This happen to me when I use spray oils. And they told me what to do and how to clean it and it worked. It’s a huge nono for these pans certain oils! I feel like you are being rough with it and not as careful as you claim. I have mine and they still look literally brand new after 3 years. I’m careful with them. Meaning I have a glass top temp not more than medium, I use silicone utensils and I hand wash with non scratch sponges. I try not to have food spills all over it and wash them after I’m done cooking once they cooled off and not let it sit over night with food maybe that’s why they are stains ?

You have to use magic eraser. Works on all ceramic pans
@olivertwisted3 ай бұрын
Magic eraser will also erase the non-stick coating, which already doesn't last long on "ceramic" cookware.

Same problem here. It's not typical for people to use in a low heat. It's supposed to handle up to medium heat and that's not the case, smh

@Speed.Racer.52 ай бұрын
You're supposed to use oil with these pans, so they were never really non stick. Also, a lot of people use non stick sprays like Pam instead of oil. Those will ruin the pans.
