I’ve got an older 450 and it already has the first mod(awesome response btw) all the carbs are the same btw on all bikes unless they are efi don’t know too much about those. The second mod is a great idea!!

JUST RUN THE TWO TOP VENT LINES OVER THE TOP OF THE REAR SHOCK INTO THE TOP OF YOUR AIR BOX, NO CHANCE OF THEM GETTING BLOCKED OR OBSTRUCTED IN THERE - GENIUS WYLIE, YOU'RE A GENIUS!! MEEP-MEEP!!

Probably the best two pieces of advice on KZbin.

Mentionable: This FCR 41 MX Carb already has the blue (stronger) spring attached. Original is green and softer. The blue stronger spring should shorten the time of fuel injection in it's way. I don't wanna say this is enough, but it is probably mostly necessary to fight the problem this video is about. As a part of it. There's a lot to do to reach perfection with precision in all possible circumstances/setups. This still is a nice video and a good idea.

Didnt know that about the 2 vent lines definitely gonna do that asap. I use a rubber o-ring on my ap but this looks a lot more durable as an o-ring can stretch over time and break. Thanks for the info!!!

I was able to fix it, I did a 100 leak jet and this mod then it worked flawlessly. But then after a few months of riding it came back. I may just have to re safety wire it. Thanks!

use a #78 O-ring from the hardware store. More give, less risk. Then again get the Boysen slingshot 3

if the bottom 2 hoses were to get plugged and your other two are in the air box that would effectively pressurize your carb to the atmosphere of the airbox and cause a lean condition. It would be better to connect all 4 hoses to the airbox and re-jet.

Awesome stuff, can't wait to try it out

great video, you can see where to put the safety wire, instead of just saying to safety wire the pump, thanks.

I can't believe this fixed my issue on my te510... I took it to 2 different shops, one said nothing was wrong, the other cleaned the carb still the same issue, and again they said nothing was wrong. Did this and vola, instant throttle response. I am just wondering the draw back to this, it had to been designed that way for a reason??

what would be the point of putting only one of those air lines from the t fitting on choke side when the other one goes into muddy water???? put all "3" in the airbox-or just cut and plug up one.

I made my own stiffer spring for the pump lever which helped alot but starts bogging after it's rode awhile, also tried adding an oring, helped but still pulls off, if I wire it the plastic lever flexes what's the deal here?
@simonjmeyers7 жыл бұрын
How does this affect adjustability? Looks like that wire would be in the way?

The two hoses you show to route to the air box are connected to a t fitting that has another hose coming from same port out of the carb, what's the use of doing this mod unless you run all four hoses to the air box?
@collindoty977510 жыл бұрын
With this mod do you unscrew the screw so the plastic peace if flush ?

Hi, usefull tips. Can you provide some details about jetting (WR450F 2003 with LeoVince X3, grey wire mod, acc mod, 430-600 feet above mean sea level , air temperatures 50'F-80'F)?

A little late to the party.., but have they addressed this issue in these carburetors at the factory yet?

Highly, Highly suggest using the safety wire and not zip tie- doing as the vid shows,
@justins4d11 жыл бұрын
Great video! Only problem, it didn't work for mine :/ Any ideas what it may be? Thought it was the leak jet, all the jetting is stock. 02 yz250F, idle to WOT it bogs and can die. Like its not feeding it fuel. Any ideas would help a lot, thanks for the video!
