As someone who has used a much more expensive industrial Shopbot CNC router at a makerspace for personal projects and knows the potential of all types of machines, I have to say I'm very happy to see that Carbide 3d is showing stories like this from people who aren't making full time living with their Shapeoko, and aren't trying to oversell it as an industrial 24/7 production style machine. This business is totally the right market for the size, price, and capabilities of Carbide 3d machines. Kudos for the honest marketing and truly enjoyable business stories. You don't need to spend $10,000 on a machine to make money with it, but there is a reason industrial machines exist and it's a different market.

Awesome story! I got a Shapeoko XL a few months ago and am still learning the ropes, but it's been very good so far!

Anybody know what those metal pieces are on the backs of the surfboards and turtles that are used for wallhanging? They look great, love the inset, and they seem a lot more secure than screwing a wall hook into the back of a piece.

Man oh man I am torn on which model to buy after my garage remodel is done... I'm really digging on the XXL pro..!!! Then I ask myself once again do I really need the pro or not..?
