Can the 120/ 60mm spindle support a 1/2 flat endmill or not enough torque?

The 65mm spindle can handle a shank up to 1/4", and the 80mm spindle can take a shank up to 1/2". Both can handle cutters with a larger flute diameter; you'd set a lower depth of cut for the 65mm spindle to reduce the power required.

At the 2:00 mark, what material was used for the aston martin sign? Was the surface painted and milled to show the lettering?

Hi Reid, The Aston Martin sign was made from MDF. The surface was painted green, masked, letters and designed carved in and then white paint was applied. Removing the mask revealed the finished product. It’s part of our “First 5” video series over at My.Carbide3D.com

I'm using exclusively shitty Chinese endmills to start. No point in spending big bucks learning. I did a DIY cnc. I have no endstops yet either. YOLO
