Do you check your coolant from the expansion tank? I’ve got my first one recently and am reading conflicting info of how to check

Yeah. There can be some variance in the cooling system setup, but if you've got a separate swirl pot (which I believe most cars do) then this should always be full and is essentially 'set and forget', as is the radiator itself -- as long as it has all been bled properly in the first instance. So just check the level at the expansion tank when the car is cold; my car's natural level is around 70-80% full but this will vary a bit from one car to the next.

Cheers pal I checked the swirl pot today and it took 2 litres of coolant to fill 😮 Just went for a drive and stick at 90 it was 110 the other day

If the swirl pot was low/empty, it's worth bleeding the system as well. Much easier to do this if you have a second person to help... but open the expansion bottle, unscrew the bleed bolt at the top of the radiator, and then top up the swirl pot until you've got a constant stream (no air) coming out of the radiator, and then screw in the bleed bolt. Making sure the swirl pot is still full and the expansion bottle topped up as well. (all done with the engine off but heater controls set to hot. You can squeeze the rubber hoses to help move the coolant through if it seems like there's an airlock).
