WHAT ARE MICROFIBRILS PLEASE MISS
@BioTeachLondon4 жыл бұрын
Hi Yasmine, you will have learnt about microfibrils when learning about cellulose structure. Cellulose is a straight, unbranched chain of beta glucose molecules. When these straight chains associate with each other, they for microfibrils which are held together by hydrogen bonds. A few hydrogen bonds are weak but with many of them forming between microfibrils, they give the cellulose molecule strength and rigidity in terms of its structure. I hope that helps you understand that a bit better.
