This is me playing my own rock arrangement of Kingdom Hearts' main theme, called "Rising Sun", and that I released in 2006. The original material, "Hikari", was written by Hikaru "Hikki" Utada for Square Enix.
For a first performance video, I chose a song that is very easy to play. The backing track is panned on the right, and leads I'm playing are on the left. Also if you want to figure out how to play it by watching my fingers, take into account that my guitar is baritone and is tuned in ADGCFAD - it makes things just a tad complicated sometimes :)

I'm glad I can support you somehow while you're working out ! As for what you asked, it's mostly the music, not necessarily the game, that drives me. Kingdom Hearts for example, is not really my thing to begin with, but the music left me in awe at first hear. Plus, playing all the games whose music I like would cost me a lot of money ! :D

Thanks! That's an Ibanez RGD2127Z-ISH. A long-scale baritone model with a floating bridge and excellent craftmanship made in Japan. I still use it today.

Hey I mentioned the tuning in the video description it's : ADGCFAD so one tone under the standard tuning. Hence you'll have to shift all my fingers positions down by 2 frets.

In the backing track you meant ? Sorry I can't remember, but since it was recorded sometime in 2006, I must have relied on a lot of very simple powerchords, coarsely following the bass line, nothing too fancy.

No problem. :) You can see the hardware I used at the end of the video, my guitar is plugged directly into a Vox Tonelab EX. It's an amp modeling device, and it allows you to choose 1 or 2 pedals for your FX signal chain too. Here, I used a US higain type amp model with a Vox cabinet, along with Klon Centaur overdrive emulation and some tape delay on top of it.
