Hey man if you go to Moss Miata online there is a third taillight seal you can buy that’s a factory Mazda part that will probably be easier and clean up the look. Part number 905-240. Dig the video though!

I saw that, and was gonna do that.. Only thing is, I’d still need a way to mount the light because the seal alone won’t hold it in place

Did you shave the rubber stopper on that high side? You got it fitting better than some I’ve seen.

Thanks, it was well centered for me. I just wish I didn’t have to improvise on the mounting of it. Oh well tho, it worked out

I have the same issue with the passenger side too, it sits higher than the driver side

Yea, it’s an eye sore once you realize it. CarbonMiata said that there should be enough material, where the latch mounts to, to shave off a couple millimeters or so to make the trunk sit a little lower but I never tried it out yet. I’ll get to it sooner or later though

Isn’t the reason why it’s coming up on the right side because of the washers?

It shouldn’t be. I believe it’s just how the trunk is made where it latches. I may need to remove the latch and sand the trunk lid down some to make it sit lower when closed

@@snowb335 nothing too much, just had to dremmel the holes the correct shape and the lights press right in like factory
