Carbondale, PA Building Collapses trapping Mayor; March 26, 1996 John Kosich WNEP-TV

On the morning of March 26, 1996 Joe Vadella, the newly elected mayor of Carbondale, PA was responding to a call of falling bricks from a building on North Main Street. Vadella was walking in an alleyway when the building and another collapsed trapping him beneath the rubble. He was rescued when crews cut through the wall of an adjacent building and pulled him to safety. WNEP-TV Anchor John Kosich reports live from Carbondale
