im new to the game and have been using the intermediate layout, i was confused by why mine looked bigger and was gonna state that they probably updated to make the restraunts bigger but it seems that ive gotten the 16x16 bug, not sure how i feel about it but i put 4 gumball machines at the door and filled the rest of the spaces with plants, not sure if it helps but i just felt like i should do it

tried it, got two seperat accounts, both no game pass trough some luck they reached a similar lvl 8 and 9 in floors and most usefull, similar numbers in customers, lvl 8 floor has 48k and lvl 9 floor has 88k customers i bought 15 of the wells for the lvl 8 floor account, in the first minutes it looked good, full restaurant every chair... but the bigger account has taken over already not even 1h later it has 3oo more customers and growing, wells did not manage to do much, bit set me back a few milions the only things helping are the slot mashine and the golden order stand as far as i can see it
