Here's my solution to this problem. Calculate the minimum amount of time it takes to reel in a fish. This includes enchants, piercing/progress passives, as well as just general rods. (Might break with ROTD, ROTFF, & ROTEK passives). If the rod takes anything under that minimum (maybe with an error margin in case someone accidentally pulls it off via glitch or other circumstances) then run a check after a player has successfully lured a fish. If the check returns true, send a warning 1-3 times and then a perma-ban. That might be hard to impliment but that's my idea.

ngl this isn't really that realistic to add for lots of reasons, things like ping and fps can change how fast you catch a fish, and also things like piercing uses a formula to randomly slash the fish so it would be too hard to take that into consideration

It's coded by a random trigger and splitting the progress bar into counts (time based). Therefore there is a limit and a cap. If the ideal time/perfect catch without loss of progress speed is about 7 seconds. And the (for example) the No-Life passive increases the progress speed by 5% every .5 seconds. The time it takes to perfect catch is about: 2.3 seconds {.8 with steady} (14 "counts," minus the initial 2 counts (10%) reeled in, 14 x 5% = 60% progress speed (instant so time is 0) by each mark hit. 30% left with about 12%/second = about 2.3 seconds, MINIMUM) [add steady for 20% per second, now 32% which takes about .8 seconds.) - Compared to the INSTANT reel used by exploiters (well under MAX .8 secs) but VERY not probable. These are just estimations compared to those who have the actual code and times. Therefore, it is applicable even with the fastest rods in question. It's just the time it will take to implement and do the mathematics which frankly isn't too hard. - Again the game KNOWS what enchant you have, what passives and what rod you are using. Even account the reduced progress speed the fish has. There should be NO reason that you catch a fish INSTANTLY. (NOTE: NO-LIFE PIERCING PROCS AT ABOUT 1/12 MAKING THE CHANCE OF THIS "1 in 8,916,100,448,256 (9 QUADRILLION or 1/(12^12)" IF ALL COUNTS ARE HIT) To address the frame rate and ping bugs. Even if the game were running on low fps, the lure in speed is independent of frame rate. Unless the dev's were that stupid to have the mini game progress speed reliant on hardware. Again this can be tested with an fps limiter.

Hey carbon just to let you know, there's some hacks that auto leaves when a moderator joins your server. It can detect if your a mod or not. So if ur gonna do a banning series always join on a alt or they might leave, after you join on your alt just join on their main. If there hacking then they will leave immediately as soon as you join.

yo carbon a great way to tell if there are cheaters inside a server is to look at the chat. if someone is for example using something that gives them insta fish they will get a lot more fish rapidly in chat telling u they could be exploiting then again theres seraphic rod.

A little tip for finding exploiters is looking at the leaderboard (specifically C$ section). With every perfect catch you gain a 10C$ incentive, so if they’re gaining that amount at a rapid/abnormal rate their most likely exploiting.
