to be fair that is pretty much what will happen to any ground units when an area is heavily defended by fully upgraded siege tanks and liberators that are in siege mode... nothing but melt. siege tanks soften them up and liberators finish them off. Only thing that would break that siege wall would be to send Phoenix in to take out the liberators and then send in the death ball to wipe out the tanks.

Imagine you command great army. You tell your generals to spread the rumor that all the food has been stolen by the enemy and no food will arrive in next week. On the third day of starvation give a small ration of food(preferably sweets) to your soldiers, you also supply your army with coke/amphetamine , alcohol and cigars (enough to last them a week) and you send an all-out assault on the enemy positions. Profit.

Unfortunately the opposite is what works. An army runs on its stomach. A hungry army is a weak army. Maybe it’s different in the future because they drop into battle 5 minutes after suiting up instead of marching, but the constants of human based warfare seem independent of technology.

@@52flyingbicycles If i recall, a hungry army is good for literally only one attack from their desperation. If that one attack fails however, they immediately, completely crumble with no way to retaliate or regroup, so a well-fed army is pretty much always going to be better by virtue of not being confined to a single "all or nothing" fight while probably fighting better overall anyways without that ultimatum.
