Carcass - Heartwork [Reaction/Review]

A fantastic song from a timeless record. Swedish bands like At The Gates, In Flames and Dark Tranquillity were very important for Melodic Death Metal but for me its this album that really pu MeloDeath in the map. Some info for António that might spark his interest on Carcass even more, one of the guitar players at the time was Michael Ammott, the guy that later would start a band named Arch Enemy.

This album is one of the absolute best from the era, and an extremely important piece of Melodic Death Metal history. I will never forget my first listen/viewing of this when it launched. Love at first listen.

I'm not always a fan of the growling vocals of extreme metal, but Carcass makes them work very well. That's a testament to their excellent musicianship and songwriting

My first time experience with this song was a cover by Fleshgod Apocalypse on their album Agony, instantly fell in love with the melody and to be honest prefer their cover over the original. I'm sorry Carcass fans. :D
