Thanks Ellen, we were in the same boat when we traveled and stayed in Carcoar a few years ago, now we own a place there and love it. It has a great sense of community and a really relaxed lifestyle. Great little village.. not far from where I live (Cowra)... This is where the first bank robbery in Australia occurred...13 July 1863... Johnny Gilbert and John O'Meally led by Bushranger, Ben Hall, held up the Commercial Bank there.
