I've been paper crafting for 20+ years and really enjoy these kinds of videos. Even though I have a LOT of supplies, sometimes I just need something to kickstart my imagination. For me, I've invested in so many inks, stamps, dies, stencils, etc., that I forget what I have. It seems like every month there is a new product on the market that I feel I have to try. Recently I decided to stop buying (well, not completely, who am I kidding, lol!) and look for new ways to use what I already have. This kind of video is great inspiration. Love the video, we all have to start somewhere! Not sure if anyone else has said this but before you clean your stencil, give it a quick spritz with water and you can take a print from it so that's another card front and "free" ink :)

What a brilliant video! I remember starting my card-making journey and wishing I had all the bits and bobs that other crafters had (craft envy is real!) 😂 but I didn't let it put me off. I used to collect all sorts... buttons from clothes, the spare sequin packs you'd often find attached to a new item of clothing, the little thin ribbon you often get in tops ... Over time I built my supplies up, but these sorts of videos are still my favourite and I'm never ashamed to admit that I've learnt something new from them. Thank you!

I love how you've kept it so simple! It also reminds me of all the things that we have available to us that we can use to create patterns for backgrounds. For instance, bubble wrap, scrunched up plastic wrap or aluminum foil, etc. When I first started scrapbooking, we were constantly looking for regular everyday things to use on our layouts. Two things that pop into my mind are drywall tape and the plastic produce bags that we often find here in the United States. Not sure if when you get a small bag of fingerling potatoes in the uk, they come in a plastic mesh bag, but that was something that my friends and I would try to figure out how to use on a layout. I feel like this is one of your best craft challenges...trying to figure out how many different ways you can use the same stencil/ ink. Fun, fun, fun! ❤️ Also, was the brand of ink you were trying to think of from the stamp market? 🤔

Oh, I just imagined that you could use that stencil and then rotated a quarter turn and perhaps ink with a different color. Dang it... I wash my brushes and foam pads in the sink using baby shampoo and a make-up brush cleaner thing. Baby shampoo is good for removing build up of products

Thanks Jacqui 🥰 if you check out some of my other videos you may be able to see that I keep them in the original packaging (where I can) and then put them in a sleeve and write the details on the top, then put them in categories, nature, Christmas etc. hope that helps 🥰🥰

I honestly think that temu is a great place for first Time card makers. It's fairly cheap. And you can get all kinds of stuff to start with dies, tape, paper, stamps. I get a lot of my craft dies from temu. Ps I will only use bearly art glue. I love it. 😅

You can use tracing paper instead of vellum for cards, if you are careful it can be heat embossed too
