Here is an April 1978 episode of Card Sharks. Royce (who has a game in hand as we pick things up) has won $5,500 thus far as champ. Can he get back to the Money Cards again? No copyright infringement is intended.

Love the way Perry explains the rules.... He was such a great host.

T Mac If they ever resurrect this show, I would love to host this show the way Jim Perry did.

Lower than an Ace, Higher than a Deuce; But if you turn up an 8, you better hang loose!

Royce was a contestant on "Match Game", the syndicated version and he won $20,000 by matching Rita Moreno.

One of my all time favorite game shows. I enjoyed both the Perry and Eubanks versions, but I have to go with the Perry version, because he was one hell of a host and also the set design was a thing of beauty. It sucked that very early on, you were only able to change the first card in the Money Cards. It did make it tough to have a big win. Luckily this lasted only for a short amount of time.

The "loss on a push" rule also existed. I'm glad it was changed.

9:55 - BUST! A painful double-deuce had to hurt back in the day, although this would change in 1980 when the Doubles Push rule was introduced.

HEY! What did I tell you about declaring technical wins on losses? You'd better NOT fool me because I know who you are: I think you are obviously Michael Taylor, the guy who keeps declaring technical wins on losses like this one. You need to stop acting like a baby and grow up because if you think losing is against the law, then you are certainly *NOT* living in this millenium. Losing is just a part of life, so just accept it for Pete's sake! As for your "technical wins", you had better quit your act because all you have done is be a pain in the fanny as well as irritate and annoy us with that "technical win" nonsense, balderdash, and malarkey! I am *VERY* angry with you right now and I ain't afraid to say it, so you'd better *STOP* with the technical wins if you know what's good for you!

No losing horns heard here...one of the earliest Money Cards "busts"!

I'm so glad they came up with that rule. It was only fair in a game where you have to choose lower or higher.

@@mrceleb2006 The 1st bust on the Money Cards on Card Sharks was on the 3rd episode where Tomi busted on the 2nd level.

Woo, that Royce is one lucky so and so at least in the game play. the money Cards have been kicking his butt just a tad. Here's hoping he wins again. Um, that audience is wild. i'm beginning to think 87% of THEM smoked marijuana before they got there. Sheesh.
