Nice to hear your thoughts, Mike. I like the way you see things and wanting to pass these cards on to your son someday. He’s going to love that they were yours and you enjoyed collecting them. I remember when the Sox traded Rizzo to the Padres for Adrian Gonzalez. I was happy at the moment but Adrian didn’t last long in Boston so it ended being a bad trade for them. Enjoyed the video

Great video and super cards. That is a super collection. The Roberto Clemente's were my favorites. It is so great that you can share your collection with your son and down the line look back with him on the different era's and the the great players from those era's. Thanks for sharing your collection and your thoughts. Enjoyed.

Thank you Ed! I'm glad you enjoyed! It definitely is fun to show him some of the older cards although he still likes the shiny ones the best lol.

Hi Mike! Sweet cards! Bonds was a great player and has tons of fans, rightfully so, the history of baseball cannot be told without him in the conversation. Cards are awesome but what I really love about them is the nostalgia. The memories of collecting as a kid, the connections they bring and the memories of the players! Another great thing about the hobby is we can all collect any way we want, nothing wrong with collecting vintage and modern or any other way that makes you happy! I try to have a mix of vintage and modern in my collection as well! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Nice presentation, Mike. Enjoyed hearing your perspectives. Involving your son is wonderful. Cards always help us recapture a special moment or a time in our lives. To me that is the beauty of collecting cards. Documenting your journey as you are now will be such a wonderful gift for you and your son as the years go by. Some great cards you showed us, too!

Hi Mike! Great video. It can be both of that what brings you joy. That is what it’s all about. It makes sense that 90s cards connect with you being you grew up then. Imagine what you want your collection to be and make it happen. I really enjoyed hearing your thoughts. Have a great rest of the weekend.

Thanks Terry appreciate it! I love my vintage but definitely want a well rounded era collection. As vintage brings me closer to the histories of the games and my family I definitely want some from modern era for my son and family to remember those stars and times. Hope you’re having a good weekend as well.

Hey Mike! This was a great video and really enjoyed listening to this. I don’t think we see collections go both ways often on KZbin. It’s refreshing you do that. As a big fan of base myself I love that you proudly show it off. The way you go about your collecting for your mom, yourself, and your son is a test of who you are. Thanks for your thoughts and sharing them! Have a great week!

Thank you Andy, appreciate the kind words my friend it means a lot. Every year from Walter Johnson to current day players in baseball as well as other sports shape the game and history of it. Always great looking back and remembers certain things. Glad you enjoyed! Have a good week as well. Talk soon!

Good video Mike! I primarily collect Vintage because those are the players I enjoyed watching as a kid. There are players in today's game like Freddie Freeman and Mookie Betts that I would love to add to the collection. One of the great things about you having your channel is that your son will be able to watch these and get a better feel for what and why you collected certain players!

Thanks Steve. Absolutely agreed on my son/family being able to watch. I love my vintage but also love the players who I watch as a kid that made me fall in love with the game.

Great cards. It’s always cool to hear others memories and why they love the game. I believe you referenced the Clemente Statue at PNC. I got my photo there with my daughters back in 2017. Great experience in Pittsburgh.

Gave a video like. Two awesome Clemente cards! Bonds was the main guy I PC'd in the mid 90's. Nice Gunnar and Juan RC's! The base RC's are always great. Those are two incredible talents playing in today's game. Both are must watch type players.

I’m similar to you and collect cards for the connections to the sport and my childhood. The base cards are iconic. I like that they’re affordable and no one is trying to get rich from them. They’re just collectible. See you at the National in a few weeks.

Nothing wrong with Bonds being your guy. Steroid ERA or not I do not care. Bonds has to be brought up with the best of the players who have ever played the game. Who is the greatest? In baseball that is hard to determine to me. But Bonds has to be right up there. Trout was a player i would have put up there with the best names of the history of baseball, but all those injuries derailed that for me. I imagine Trout will be a HOF lock, but i put him in the realm of Griffey HOF Tier. Lots of great cards here. Enjoyed and thanks for sharing with us.

Hey Steve, appreciate you watching my friend. Agreed, about trout. He's like the modern day Mantle, with all his injuries, but Mantle played through more of the. Appreciate the kind words, hope you are having a good weekend.
