AFAIK there were no numbers published anywhere but it will be much faster. It's not that important though in my view because it's clear that L1 won't be able to handle everything. For example, it would be stupid to have VISA on L1. There's no blockchain than can and probably will never be able to handle everything on L1. Luckily Cardano different flavors of L2s too: Most famous is Hydra (Doom demo, where every frame in the game is a tx, with 35 frames/s), then there are also various Hydra flavors being built and optimistic rollups, zk-rollups and sidechains.

BTW, we hear a lot about how fast Kaspa is, like 1 block/second. Cardano has 1 block/20 seconds. But that actually doesn't tell much. It's the size of the block that matters. Cardano packs much more tx in a block than Kaspa. Not saying that Kaspa is not fast I'm just saying that there's more to TPS or blocks/s.

Input endorser technology was tested on the BTC UTXO ledger and scaled to 70,000 tps. Cardano runs on the eUTXO model which is highly similar.
