What kind of card board paper did you use? When you place the yarn on the card board does it make the earring stronger?

I used chipboard, in my opinion no it didn't make it stronger. However it did reinforce it to ensure it wouldn't come undone. The earrings were a little on the flimsy side, I would suggest using a stronger cardboard or cardstock paper.
