It's so weird for me to see this animatic finally finished! I started it well over a year ago and totally lost track of time, chipping away at it slowly over the months. I'm not sure how obvious it is to other people but to me at least I can really tell the difference between the newer and older frames. Its weird, I feel like my art has changed a lot this past year but despite running an art channel that I haven't really gotten to show off what my art truly looks like? I'm so used to bouncing back and forth between old and new assets, drawing in distinctly different styles for super specific purposes- it's a little surreal I guess? All this to say, I'm glad this animatic is done but I'm really excited to start on the next one! 2023 if at all possible I'd like to post a lot more often but I'd also really like to feel like what I'm putting out reflects where I am in my art in that moment instead of the hodge-podge of old and new styles I've been putting out lately. Thank you so much to everyone for watching, reminder the song cover I used is preformed by LeeandLie! I'm gonna continue to use her covers for the rest of the animatics I've had planned. I’m not sure if I’m interpreting it correctly, but I really love the idea of Umi whistling when it’s next to Hokoto to guide her or just let her know that it’s there (if that’s what the little music notes beside it whenever it appeared were supposed to mean), I think it’s super cute and creative! Also just the visual of Hokoto being able to “see” suddenly when she touches someone or something is really beautifully done in this 💕

I adore how you managed to capture the sheer feeling of elation in Neneko when she sees Hokoto cooking-since an earlier scene implies that Hokoto hasn't been taking the best care of herself since the accident. It shows so much of their relationship in so few frames-you and your team truly understand to "show, don't tell"

June. JUNE. I cannot BEGIN to describe how overwhelmingly happy this made me. Hokuto and Azumi are my favorites, and this is PHENOMENAL. I'm going to rewatch several more times, because the art is just so AMAZING! This really emphasizes how much Hokuto's interactions with others means, and how they can affect her ( from what i interpreted). I love that she may have a lil crush on Emi too ;) But ohmigosh the transformation, your timing and editing, the outfits, using one of my fav magical girl and in general anime openings, the interactions between the main cast at the end, the difference of her being in a world of darkness at the start to the current story where her friends fill her life with light, JUNE MY FRIGGIN HEART FAM You can take it you've EARNED it

I loved how she was dipping her foot into the water. It’s symbolic of her anxiety to live life, but slowly progressing. And it’s also and homage to Helen Keller. A woman who was both blind and deaf, and used touch to learn. One of her most famous stories was when she was first exposed to water. And lastly, water is blue. Hokoto is blue. It just makes sense.

First of all, WOW THIS CAME OUT SO GOOD! Second, I really do appreciate and love how you write Hokoto. I’m not blind, but I do have disabilities that make my life harder and makes me feel badly about myself. But seeing how you write Hokoto to learn to love herself for being her despite her disabilities really makes just makes me cry of happiness. It’s something I want to be able to apply to myself. Hokoto is such a amazing character with a very though through story and I really love where you are going with her and the rest of the cast June!! Amazing work as always!!

OMG im only just catching up with your videos after nearly two years of life being too busy to enjoy things the way i used to and im!! astounded!! these characters feel so fresh and individual and i love love love the work you're doing with them! Hokoto is downright adorable in this i love her with my whole heart and she and neneko are so stinkin cuteeeee i smell a ship!! also the team dynamics are already bleeding through what with azumi always being a breath away from murdering eimi, katsumi with her exasperated fondness, yu being a cinnamon roll as per usual and neko with that ever-present grin even in the midst of chaos. I don't think it's allowing her to see, it seems to be guiding her through sound cues, i watched it closely and it seems to utter a musical tone every time it moves to allow her to follow it

not gonna lie the end right there almost made me ugly cry- not only is this such a beautiful character show but............. one of my best friends growing up had a blind-from-birth mother and she made the BEST mac n cheese when i was 8 and it reminded me of her. the boxes in the background remind me of her bedroom she was an avid reader and just had stacks and stacks of books in braille. braille books are huge btw and one regular novel would often have to be in two or three volumes because of the thickness of the paper used for it. thanks for the nostalgia slap :')

First up, beautifully done. Just lovely and I love everything about it, especially Hokotos puffy eyelashes. Second, I just LOVE the idea of a blind magical girl somehow. Idk why but it's so intriguing and just different and gives so much room for interesting conflicts and such. Thirdly, gotta be honest. I never cared much for magical girl anything (except Winx club if that counts). But PRISM has me so invested in the characters and story even though it's so not my genre. I just love it, don't know why but I do and I can't wait for the finished thing eventually

So I'm not sure if you already know this June, if anyone has already mentioned it, or if this is even what this moment is supposed to be, but at 1:02 it looks like Hokoto is touching her friends' faces to be able to "see" them? And just in case, I wanted to point out that, although that's a relatively common thing in media, in real life that isn't something that anyone who is blind actually does. Molly Burke here on youtube has a ton of great videos for learning about blindness to be able to portray it accurately! Fantastic animatic though, I am *unbelievably* excited to see where PRISM goes!!
