From 1:16 onwards, there was a close-up, back-to-back shots between Yu-Yu and Raika during their cardfight while the Ren/Nayuta duet part of the op song play in the background, for a brief moment Bushiroad, you ain't slick (For reference, there's quite of bunch of paralles between Yu-Yu&Raika and Ren&Nayuta. From their designs, to the rivalry, to even their personalities. Even Raika and Nayuta share the same jp voice actor) I adore Argonavis and their songs so much! 💙

@@dindapriska Yeah it was a struggle to like it since the story is far from the original. Compared to the original Cardfight Vanguard with Aichi and his friends, this one made me think "Is this really a Cardfight Vanguard anime?". But glad to have stuck with it because the story is getting there.

As much as I'm a Roselia devotee and Zeal of Proud is in my top 5 Roselia songs of all time, I can't deny that the boys from ARGONAVIS absolutely killing it and might take the mantle for best Vanguard opening. Also, that clash 1:08 *chef's kiss*

My favorite opening so far. Edit: I am so mad that they screwed up the order here 0:52 , all other transitions are seamless because they use match cuts, but this one stands out in the middle. This would have been fixed if this scene with Mirei was at the end. In fact, it would have flown even better because then we would have transitioned from Mirei to Danji! Actaually unbelievable. I might need to edit that myself.

This may not be Vanguard related and I don’t know why I thought about it, but this opening theme made me imagine a Pokémon opening during the Journeys series and it features Ash, Goh and their friends and rivals teaming up with Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y to fight against Giovanni, Team Rocket, Chairman Rose and Eternatus. Crazy imagination, but a possibility.
