for people that wonder about the second peek in atrial pressure and the atrial pressure overall: before the first peek in atrial pressure, 70 percent of the blood is just going from the atria into the systole by gravity, it is able to do this because the atrial pressure is bigger then the ventricular pressure and the AV valves are open. then the atria gives an extra push to let the other 30 percent into the ventricels, this is seen as the first increase in atrial pressure where the atria contracts. the second bulb in atrial pressure is just because the ventricels contract and the Bulging of the mitral valve into the left atrium during isovolumetric contraction causes a slight increase in left atrial pressure (c wave).

Thank you. This was really helpful. But I was thinking that if you could include the stages of ventricular systole and diastole.. and explain this graph accordingly, it would've been the tiniest bit easier for med students with me.. but it is just a suggestion. Thank you again. I'll be sure to share this with others.

What happens during the bump in atrial pressure right afther the A-V valve closes?

i was confused for a second when you asked this question too. But i think this is the answer. before the first peek in atrial pressure, 70 percent of the blood is just going from the atria into the systole by gravity, it is able to do this because the atrial pressure is bigger then the ventricular pressure and the AV valves are open. then the atria gives an extra push to let the other 30 percent into the ventricels, this is seen as the first increase in atrial pressure where the atria contracts. the second bulb in atrial pressure is just because the ventricels contract and the Bulging of the mitral valve into the left atrium during isovolumetric contraction causes a slight increase in left atrial pressure (c wave). this was very late but other people think the same probs, if i have anything wrong tell me. my first response was wrong but logical so i edited it XD
