First of all ...ur statement is incorrect... actually...AV close after atrial systole. ..and not due to atrial systole... Second ..AV valve closes due to overfilling of ventricle... See what happen is...Semilunar valves are close ...so where will the blood put pressure ..it will be towards atrial chamber ..in order to do this ...it closes AV valve ... And its after atrial systole...i hope u got it ...??
