If this is TLDR - apologies. I'm very old - my prior musical preferences were mid-late 60s Beatles, Who, Love, Small Faces blah; as a teenager, I loved Genesis, Purple, Bowie, Rush blah. I visited my osteopath(!) in April this year, and he's a fellow drummer. As he was bending me about, I asked him - "what's this band on the sound system?" He said - "Cardiacs"; I said - "I know the name - this is interesting...." I then went home and checked 'em out on KZbin, and my musical life has not been the same since. I've now got Cardiacs CDs for the car, DVDs for the TV, and am now totally obsessed; I cannot think of a musical life without them, and wished to Christ that I had discovered 35+ years ago so I could've seen them and learnt from them. Tim - please get well.
