I like the 3-5-2 option in attack. I think that can work especially well with Ampadu dropping into the back 3. To me it makes sense to switch to this format any time Piroe plays. Bring out the tactics board! Mot

I had a little chuckle after Tanaka came on. There was some passing going on at the back between Struijk, Firpo, and Meslier. Tanaka came back to give an option on the pass. Struijk was expecting him to pass it back laterally. Instead Tanaka spun 180 degrees at quick tempo to head back up field. It almost seemed he was a little annoyed with the slow play from the back line. Tanaka needs to start some games so we can pick up the pace and create more chances.

Piroe probably our no 1 pen taker but he wasn't on the pitch. Struijk is usually fine his position doesn't matter surely.

Absolutely agree with you on the pen kick - Struijk is not Roberto Carlos or even Ian Harte!

I don’t agree with a lot of what you say but I will concentrate on one thing. We create loads of opportunity in the left side of the opposition’s half and we don’t convert because we are too congested. The Leeds defence goes sideways and back as you say, but they also go left, they are reluctant to use the width of the pitch. We are nowhere near a Premiership side.

I don't know how many penalties Struijk has taken, but this is the first he's missed. He's taken them in League games and cup games in the past. His position doesn't matter when taking a penalty. We've had defenders take penalties before as have many teams
