I like that old phone booth filled with books, and that’s probably the coolest park I’ve ever seen! Love all the paths and the conservatory.

I love the way you turn an ordinary walk in a park into something highly entertaining. I also like the way you chuck any old ingredients into a pan, and make a meal. I do something similar. Great channel.

The conservatory and park both look lovely. Children must love the play area. The memorials are interesting.That's amazing the lake around the promenade was filled in the mid-1800s. The swan and ducks are fun to watch. You had a beautiful day for the walk.

So much to see. Lots of wildlife and the rain didn't ruin the day. Lovely to see the first spring flowers. We are a long way off from that time of year. I'm sure it was a high step count day if your legs were getting tired.

The tortoise is in fact terrapins and the Lake it's self used to be chock a block full of them! I remember taking my Young daughters out on one of the Row boats and as we near to top end of the lake there was literally dozens diving into the water off the Islands! These terrapins were/are the result of people buying them from pet shops as little green 50p sized terrapins only to find how fast they grow...terrapins after a certain size are not the ideal pet for youngsters as the can have quite a bite unlike their 'Vegetarian Tortoise' cousins! The Greenhouse has been there for many years, my Daughters now in their mid 30's and 20's used to love feeding the fish in the greenhouse when they were aged approximately , 5 or 6 (How time flies) There used to be some tropical type birds in there too, A great trip out especially if the weather was a bit inclement!

The sign at the gate of Roath park I think was discouraging littering. "Don't be a tosser". But I have watched my fair share of British stand-up comedians. I think they use that term to mean something quite different! While on an overseas trip to Ecuador, I did a hike through the jungle. We tasted ants and a grub that lives in rotting trees. We are still two or three weeks away from seeing any blooming flowers. Thank you, great vlog of Roath Park.
@PlanetImo2 жыл бұрын
I know! I was a bit surprised about the use of that word, too! You're very brave eating ants and things. I think I would need to start with them ground up and made into something, just to wean me in. I think I'd be a bit of a baby about it. The head would say 'go' and the mouth would say 'no'!😆

Is that your ‘big’ camera (G7X) or still the Action Cam
@PlanetImo2 жыл бұрын
A combination of all three. The Canon at the end once I'd got to the top of the lake path as the light was going and the GoPro footage was getting to un-fixably muddy. I used the Canon in the green house because I wasn't moving too fast so stability wasn't as much of an issue. The few Zoomy shots were done on the Sony. I'm gonna try my gimbal again today. I've been researching and it seems people everywhere are finding they can't pair the Canon G7x mark ii with it, which is diabolical! I'm having to physically press the record button on the camera and it's knocking it off balance and then it whines shrilly and thrashes like an eel until I can power it down. But I'm gonna have a go again today and see if I can just master using it in that old school way and develop a knack of pressing the button without freaking it out. I think it's better if i set it down to do it, so I can have two hands on the camera, so I'll need to keep the tripod attached, which means it doesn't fit in my shoulder bag!! Vlogger problems!!
