Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado still haven't produced this year, and the bullpen has slowed down a bit. Who's hot and who's not as the Cardinals enter July?

Mikolis is the definition of mediocre. Not bad, but not good. He's still getting paid way too much money though

Pretty much agreed with everything until Oli was put in A tier as if he does anything more than repeatedly yank starting pitchers too early or misuse the bullpen.

Or use bad lineups that leave runners on base or pull players when they go hit 2 for 3 at bats, or get carried away with the lefty lefty matchups

⁠@@jkahl5596exactly. Oli manages based on old stats. He can’t see the hot or cold hitter in front of his face. Worst lineups in baseball most of this first half and all of last year! But he’s learning. Finally broke down and put Winn in the lead off and Burly second! Though if he hadn’t moved them up in the lineup the fans would have revolted into an even more ugly monster than they currently are! So maybe that’s his motivation?! Whatever the case… Oli deserves a D, D+, C-…?!?!?! Something like that. He’s handled the staff allot better this year but he can still pull out the frequent boneheaded move! Oli now needs a few more pieces to work with as well. Moldy Goldy and Moldy Avacado aren’t doing Oli any favors. Yet Oli manages or creates lineups as if Moldy will any day now turn into MVP Goldy! Same with moldy Avacado! I hate to break it to you Oli but those MVP caliber days are over! Please take that into consideration when putting out your junk lineups! I’m sorry but Goldy should never bat 2nd again unless injuries or freak streaks come into play! C- at best! That’s being generous!

Hot? True before today. This double header, so far, is flat as a pancake. Was hoping they could get up to 5 over. They aren’t ready for their close-up. Hopefully they’ll gel.

Well you seem to be overly negative on certain stuff imo. And the Helsley stuff. He's asked to do a frickin lot since they are always in close games. And has come through all season.Idc if he loads the bases every save opp.If he records that final out with the cards on top he did his job. No shade man just giving my opinion. You're not the only one though who has been complaining about Helsley. I'm just like damn he has the most saves in all of baseball. What more do you guys want. I like Andrew. I am certainly more optimistic than him most of the time, but his takes are a good balance and are representative of a huge chunk of the cardinals fanbase. Keeps the podcast balanced. Can’t tell if you’re baiting or if you’re an actual AI bc your comments are copy paste and void of real meaning. EDIT: spelling

Nolan Gorman is a problem. He is a liability defensively with bad defensive numbers, and he strikes out way too much. He needs to be benched if he doesn't improve.

He strikes out too much when he’s not taking pitches. When he is, he’s as good a hitter as judge. I’m not trading away that good of a hitter with that kind of potential.

@nickfreiburg I don't know if he should be traded or not. But he definitely needs to sit some games or something if he doesn't improve soon. There is also a trend of cardinals prospects and young players not turning out how they thought.
