I think JG being a a former scout will be huge for us, Kliff had some say in a couple wrs drafted in 2019, and as of now all of those wrs are not on the roster (including Andy isabella)

Sports media often gets these assessments completely wrong, and considering the prognostications are that we laid a big goose egg here, I hope that holds true. Our primary challenge is at the quarterback position: a bunch of talent and zero maturity or leadership. At the NFL level, head coaches don’t really boss around wealthy players under long contracts, so I hope he is able to inspire him and influence him. If not, we will all meet right back here in one year, having won three games in 23-24 if we are fortunate.

He talks about adaptability as a year time frame thing. His biggest problem as a Defensive Coordinator was setting up his gameplan and not making any adjustments to it. That's exactly what Kliff did.

PHI Def allowed 24 pts in the superbowl vs the best offense in the league. That is not even arguing with the bad call at the end. There was a punt return in the 2nd half to the 1 yd line and hurts fumbled for the TD. People like Skip Bayless keep blaming the PHI Def for everything like they didn’t even watch the game. It was set up to be a blowout before hurts fumbled.

PEOPLE, PEOPLE, PEOPLE. This is totally hilarious! Everyone is forgetting AZ still has one thing in common, Bidwill is still the owner. Has anyone ever looked up the Cardinal's history under the leadership of any Bidwill? Years of being cheap, subpar teams, terrible drafts, list goes on & on. The only reason why the coaching hire took so long was due to no one wanted the job. They saw Bidwill for what he is, an idiot. Has anyone looked up what a Quality Coordinator does? They are team runners, fetching & holding clipboards, whatever the coaches tell them what to do. Now, because Bidwill didn't want to spend the monies, we're stuck with a bunch of runners coaching the team. Sorry, until Bidwill sells the team, not a fan anymore. Would much rather have an expansion team that has an owner with half a brain. The Bidwills has have and will do just enough with as little of money in order to get a huge return on his investment. Bidwill just hosted the Superbowl and still couldn't pony up enough to hire a quality proven coach like Sean Payton. ENJOY YOUR SEASON FOLKS!

Kliff had waaaaay more responsibility let's be honest here. I would say Gannon has been around way more experienced coaches. Kliff just had way more than he can chew as a HC. Watch out for him in Houston, no joke. He has good OC mind just not to lead a whole team call plays manage time outside ect. Gannon could be a bust. Time will tell.

Please stop spreading this idea that the Eagles were a 4-3 base defense. They were a basically a quarters defense and played a heavy mix of odd and even fronts. They played a ton of 5 or 3 man fronts as well as 4 down. Most 4 down stuff comes in nickel anyways which when the cardinals have played in nickel it’s been a 4 down even front even though it’s a 3-4 defense

As an AZ Card fan, you should hope that the Eagles defensive approach was dictated by Siriani. If that eagles defensive approach vs good QBs was to sit back in deep zones and let them control the ball with historic accuracy and ratings was gannons, you are in for a very very grueling term with this coach.

@@JohnLoKie They did not get one stop the entire half with the Super Bowl on the line. He never brought pressure or pressed. He played the same bend but don't break which will create super long drives with many plays. When there are long, time consuming drives for an entire half, as is want by Jonathan, it is natural that the scoring is not very high. The goal is to win the game, not to see how many points you can score. Everyone knew if the Eagles could get ONE STOP, they likely win the trophy. But he was completely listless vs an injured QB with marginal WRs.
