It was the music that made me cry, now it's the fact that Listener is a crappy rock band. At least the beautiful poetry of Struggleville and Wooden Heart got made, before the rock/metal/thrashing-and-banging-noises took over. Drummer boy was the beginning of the end. Yellow shirt guy's departure was the nail in the coffin.

Yet it still doesn't come close to the amount of tears I've shed due to listener.

I quit drugs and I remember so many nights where I felt like I wanted to crawl out of my skin and my pupils were dilated, my brain was on fire and waves of manic happiness along with soul crushing depression. I’d put Listener on and drive out to the lake at night and god was it like a reawakening and for that 30 minutes to an hour I felt happiness.

Adri Navarro look at metal singers, they do whole shows and are fine. They get used to it I guess.
@Toneferxcore10 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that's what I meant. Metal singers do it on a daily and they are actually growling, screaming ect.
That is fucking amazing. Moat videos his band is to loud. That is not a complaint you hear from me often. Only when it is spoken word is where I need a lower level of volume.

Its crazy how both vocalists of Listener and Mewithoutyou have similar styles AND are both Christian. Did they both get their start as street preachers shouting at people or something?

This is my first time listening to them and I love it! I would have never known he had tourettes if you hadnt posted that. Its incredible, the power of music.
@gurieohskfgre10 жыл бұрын
warrio3004 He doesn't have tourettes, I was fortunate enough to see him live and chat to the band afterwards. It's something that just kinda comes when people get in to their music (see Steve Vai or a band called toe for other examples) not to say people that don't aren't equally passionate but some people just physically express it more heavily.
@koripaige49 жыл бұрын
Tim Wong I'm so glad you took the reigns and responded here. The way people feel and express music is so unique to every individual and it's so beautiful. Thanks for your comment!
