Paramedic for 42 years, since 1978 and had ACLS more times than I can count. This lesson is a great down to earth explanation for the heart rhythms that I have seen in 42 years. Had some great teachers, but love the presentation this instructor uses.

note guys when he says PR interval at 9:00 to 9:30, he actually meant PR segment, there is a huge difference between PR segment and PR interval; which he clarified in his video on EKG basics. The PR segment is the isoelectric line only between the end of the p wave and the beginning of the QRS complex whilst PR interval consists of the isoelectric line plus the P wave itself

Heart Block Poem (not mine but helpful!) If the R is far from P, then you have a FIRST DEGREE. Longer, longer, longer, drop, then you have a WENKEBACH. If some P's don't get through, then you have MOBITZ II. If P's and Q's don't agree, then you have a THIRD DEGREE.

I had a EKG done back in February 2015, I was sick the week of President's Day. When my Mom brought me to a walk in clinic, I had a low grade fever, my BP was normal, however my pulse was 150. The nurse was concerned I might have an issue with my heart, so when I had the EKG done, my heart was completely normal, no abnormal heart rhythms, just high anxiety. On top of that, My parents were concerned, I ended up going to my primary doctor a few days later and after that before school started back from break I was fully better
