Watching this as someone who has only played online versions of TCGs gives me a new respect for people who play with paper. I never realized how much harder it is to remember the exact orderings and multitudes of specific interactions that make card games so fun without any of the tools we take for granted in online implementations like an easily viewable record of the most recent cards played.

That was a very good video, I have dabbled with the "Necro Tempest" Deck myself a bit, and I was wondering if Leonie ran some of the "less known" cards like Virtual World Hime Nyannyan (reset one of your banished Necrofaces on banish, which then gets banished again, to Deck out even Players that don't play a Monster heavy Strategy), and Hippo Carnival for 0 ATK Monsters that can trigger your Inferno Tempest. If it has been shown in a previous episode I apologise, but I have very poor memory.

ohhh my gosh i forgot the hippo carnival tech... there's an alternate play with that, involving attacking the Light kaijus with the hippo tokens; it involves a spell that gains atk of a light monster? and i think that build also uses the old equip card Scroll of... Bewitchment? its super cheese, it was on an old Farfa Table 500 vid but its another route... anyway im literally building paper Gren Maju right now so thanks for reminding me of hippos

@@dragon-id5uj Leeching the Light my Brother, and it's in one of Farfa's Master Duel, Duel Live Videos, not Table 500 (or at least I don't remember the Table 500 Episode). But also, if you build Maju/Necro-Tempest, don't forget Battle Traps like Swift Scarecrow and Battle Fader. Everybody always says that the Battle Phase is irrelevant, but if you can keep your opponent from killing you until you draw Combo they're not irrelevant, plus they have 0 ATK to help you trigger Tempest.

@@emobassist You should pay more attention at the segment between 18:23 and 18:55. Looking at 18:23, redoer was supposed to be at the second column from left to right, that is because torn scales can only be at the 3rd, boots at the 4th and wheeleder at the 5th. At 18:32, since rusty bardiche was summoned on the left side of redoer, he can only be at the 1st column, meaning there wasn't any place for break sword to be summoned between rusty bardiche and redoer.

Lets GO pk is my favorite deck of all time and i am so happy to see it played again. I personaly like 3 greeves cus he is just a free special from hand and facilitates link 4 plays also gagaga magician is a really cool way to bring out ophion if you go pop break sword reborn 2 lv 4s make gagaga reborn break sword rank up launch make ophion and if you have any other names you can make a knightmare griphon using cherubini any other card and gagaga magician. This means that they are locked from lv5 or higher monsters and cant activate monster effects on the field plus a fogblade that u set whith rusty. This is to consider once union carrier is banned and the deck i played during pote format to kill tearlament

She bricked and his hand was busted Crossout Designator for the maxx C. Didn't use the jackalope early enough to fully capatalise its use, still got the body, but he could have drawn into an extra extender. Didn't pop one of the tokens with the first breaksword. Second breaksword was an illegal activation because she didn't have any monsters You definitely can't watch this and say it's a plat vs silver player game. Opening hands she was doomed from the start, only thing that was getting her into the game was the maxx c and that got answered

So, Problem Solving Card Text time!!! With the way Interrupted Kaiju Slumber is worded, the conjunction "then" being part of the text, requires you to do the first part of the effect (destroy as many monsters on the Field as possible) before it's special summon effect would occur (Then: Requires A to happend before B). If it was worded similarly to a card like Raigeki (destroy all monsters your opponent controls) the second effect of Interrupted Kaiju Slumber wouldn't occur, if your opponents monsters had destruction protection. So really, being worded this way makes the card better. This is at least to my understanding of why it says "as many as possible". - Adam

"That player or that permanent’s controller may pay {R}{R}." would work just fine, but in next sentence there is "If the player does" which is magic's equilavent to yugioh's "then". 118.12. If yout going for arc otk then yes both of the rank ups are useless,but if your going first then magic force is good for making dark requiem and launch for upgrading an empty break sword

Master Duel is a great tool to get people like yourself interested in paper TCG and you will find 99% of people will be helpful rather than mocking. We should have a video about things to do/you should know about going to locals for the first time, so if you need info etc, it should be helpful. Hope you enjoy your first ever locals! this is why yugioh is garbage now, he spent 10mins on a turn. Even in the considered awful dragon ruler format the game was much more open and fun to play.. just annoying now.

The current tcg format is a lot more interactive. Only very few decks are able to compete with the top tier decks as of right now which is a problem on it's own, but it shows a good trend if future archetypes/legacy archetype support follows the same design choices. Essentially both players play on both turns. Though complaining about phantom knights (without Rhongomyniad, Artifact Scythe etc.) seems a bit weird to me. Sure, he takes a moment to build his board, but the endboard is interactive and not a "you can't play the game anymore" kind of board. A monster negate with fog blade, a single destruction with Rusty and maybe Redoer if he has a trap as material. No omni negates. No floodgates. 2 Interactions and medium sized creatures. It really isn't bad. The other deck not doing anything made it look much worse than it really is.
