Yu-Gi-Oh is 25 years old and nothing is, more iconic than the original Battle City. BUT, what if Battle City was performed today with all of the new cards from the last 25 years. This is Battle City reimagined!
In this first video, we show off what Red-Eyes and Blue-Eyes would have looked like during the Battle City Arc, IF they had all of their new support!

this was pretty fun. Crazy to see that even the (semi?) scripted duels of a modern reimagining still use older versions of the decks. I mean. No jet dragon, dictator of d, or red eyes meteor dragon etc

The funniest thing about this, is there is no Red-Eyes deck in Battle City. Joey's deck is just a Warrior/Luck deck, with Red-Eyes thrown in. And he loses it in his first duel, so it never sees play in an official duel the entire Battle City arch(beyond that first duel)

Oh hey my guy, if ya wanna get into the game the best way to start is download Master Duel. Just go through the tutorial section for as long as ya feel you need to, and then either try ranked or story mode. Gonna warn you though, the new season just started and some new packs and structure decks were released, so right now even low level ranked is quite sweaty (and I’m just as guilty of wiping out 12 year olds for points). Story mode is cool though, as each story has lots of beginner sessions to teach you the decks, and different decks teach you different strategies, like how Monarchs are focused on tribute summoning adn trigger effects, or how Elementsabers are focused on attributes and cards working together over time. Each story you beat unlocks more so it’s a good positive feedback loop, gives ya free cards and helps ya pick out a deck. On that topic, while certain decks are clearly meta and stronger than others depending on the format, the best advice I can give is find a deck you like that really resonates with you, and try to get as good with it as you can, so that way you can adapt to any format and continue growing along with cards you like. If ya want a shortcut to finding a deck you like, go to the Master Duel Meta website, and click on it's list of Secret Packs from the game. I’d say scroll through it and open a new tab for any group of cards that simply look cool and speak to you. Just craft an SR or a UR in game from a pack and you unlock it. The cool thing about Yu-Gi-Oh is there’s a deck for EVERYONE. There’s archetypes based on V-Tubers, super heroes, aliens, fighting games, frogs, idols, vehicles, super sentai, virtual reality, wrestling, stage plays, cartoons, athletes, even Star Wars, and of course the usual TCG material like sword and sorcery, demons, or fighting robot type stuff. Point being if there’s something you like it probably has a deck. Or just keep playing until you find something you like. There’s also festivals they do based on a theme that offer rental decks. They aren’t ranked so the power level of your opponents is all over the place, but it’s still fun. It’s also generous with how much currency and swag it gives you. I will warn ya though, Arise-Heart is coming, which is basically like Yu-Gi-Oh’s Sheoldred. I can also recommend some KZbin channels, they tend to range on a spectrum from content more focused on fun and shenanigans, to the ultra elite players focused on in depth strategies and plays. Ya know earlier today I wrote up a big reddit post about how this channel was probably dead based on what CM Magic had said, and right as I was about to post it I went to this channel to get a link and noticed you uploaded this about an hour earlier 😶 Post was scrapped but hey, that's good news. With YCS Dortmund on the horizon it's the perfect chance to get some coverage and some cool people in the studio on the cheap, especially if guys like Jesse Kotton roll up (get him and Josh in at the same time and that's just free gold). Fun vid, the reactions felt very Takahashi, though the showmanship made it feel more like an Arc-V episode and the background felt more like Vrains (but hey, that's an upgrade if you ask me). Might be worth leaving a little epilepsy or image sensitivity warning at the beginning due to the flashy moving background. Great lookin effect though, good use of the studio resources.
